I was traveling from Colorado to Oklahoma when I saw a road sign in Kansas that said, "Water Well Road One Mile" I read it outloud and ten minutes later penned the words to this song. I sang it over and over again until I had no voice left, so I would memorize it! Thank you Kansas! I love your road signs! Their SO inspirational!   Another "raw" cut right out of my studio. By the way, I like several styles of music and love the big band feel this song has.
